The Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation is a registered charitable organization established in 1987 to raise funds for the purchase of new and replacement medical equipment for Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital.

Our Mission

The Foundation is dedicated to securing financial support through endowments, bequests, and public campaigns to achieve the following objectives:

  • Fundraising Support – Serve as a fundraising body for the charitable objectives and programs of Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital.
  • Public Awareness – Enhance public awareness of the hospital’s activities, including its regional and province-wide impact.
  • Encouraging Legacy Giving – Promote endowments and bequests from former patients and their families to supplement funding for equipment and research.
  • Public Campaigns – Conduct fundraising initiatives to support both general and specific medical equipment needs and clinical research.

Our Commitment to the Community

The foundation is committed to supporting health programs and services that provide residents of the Bay St. George/Port au Port Region with local access to quality health care.

Our Board of Directors consists of active and engaged volunteers nominated by municipalities within the Bay St. George and Port au Port Region and appointed by the Board of Trustees of Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital. The foundation works closely with the hospital’s medical and administrative staff to ensure effective oversight and support.
