"People Give to Let People Live"

Ways to Give:

In Memoriam Gifts: You can provide a gift in memory of a loved one, a tasteful acknowledgement card will be forwarded on your behalf informing the bereaved of your thoughtful gift and you will receive a tax deductible receipt. In memory of your loved one, an engraved plate will be placed on the "In Memoriam board located  in the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital.

"I Was Born Here" Display Fund: A wonderful way to provide your support and celebrate the birth of a child  by  having a  lovely plaque (pink or blue in colour)  placed on our Birth Display board; you also receive a  receipt for income tax purposes.   Makes a great gift alternative for family members and friends.

Special Occasion/Tribute Gifts:   A great gift idea for those who have "everything".   A thoughtful way to celebrate special occasions by having family and friends provide a contribution to the Foundation.   Whether it's a  birthday, wedding, anniversary, promotion, Christmas or the birth of a precious baby, this is a great way to pay tribute  or honour  that special someone celebrating an event or occasion.

Monthly Giving:    This is a  unique way that you can provide your support by spreading out your  contributions throughout the year.   It provides you with an efficient way of making donations throughout the course of the year that will fit your budget instead of making a lump sum payment all at once.   Your monthly gift  can be charged to your  credit card and we will issue you a tax receipt at the end of the calendar year for the total amount that you donate.   You can  change the amount of your gift or cancel  your monthly gifts anytime you choose.

Planned Giving:

You can contribute a gift to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation that will ensure your legacy helps to maintain and improve health care services  provided at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for future generations.   There are many options available so that  a person may arrange their financial affairs and still  provide a meaningful and lasting contibution to their favourite charitable organization:

Wills and Bequests:   An individual may leave money, securities or property to the Foundation through a Will.   It is a simple gift to arrange and there are significant tax benefits to your estate by leaving a gift from your estate to the Foundation.   The Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation would welcome the opportunity to talk with you about a gift in the form of a charitable bequest.

Gifts of Life Insurance:   You can provide a significant gift by naming the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation as the beneficiary of a new life insurance policy.   The premiums that you pay will qualify you for a tax receipt while the ultimate gift of the policy is considerably beneficial.   You can also transfer an existing life insurance policy and receive an immediate  tax credit for the cash surrender value of the policy.

Endowments:   An endowment is a permanent fund bestowed upon an invididual or institution such as a foundation as a source of income to be used for a specific purpose.  This donation  provides income  whereby the  principal is protected; the income may be reinvested or the donor may choose to specify how  the income is  used.

Gifts of Publicly Listed Securities:   You can donate a portion of your publicly listed securities to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation and eliminate Capital Gains tax which means greater tax benefits to you.

The Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation would welcome the opportunity to talk with you  regarding any of these planned gift options that best suits your charitable goals.   Of course, we do recommend that you first speak with your legal and/or financial advisor to best determine which planned gift option is best for you in determining how your legacy will benefit you, your loved ones and the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation.

The Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation gratefully accepts the following forms of payment:   cash, personal cheque, money order, Visa, Master Card and American Express.   It is recommended that cash not be sent in the mail though cash donations may be made in person at the Foundation Office.   The Foundation's Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., daily: the Office is closed on statutory holidays.
