Routine X-Ray and Laboratory Services to be Unavailable Due to Planned Power Outage at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital
Western Health is advising that routine X-Ray and Laboratory services will be unavailable at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on February 15 due to a planned power outage. During this time, the hospital will run on generator back-up power to support all other services. We anticipate all services to resume to normal by February 16.
Emergency X-ray services and urgent laboratory services will go ahead for patients needing INR, transplant blood work, or chemotherapy blood work. Individuals in the Stephenville/Bay St. George area may choose to go to Western Memorial Regional Hospital for X-Ray or Western Health Clinic for blood collection on February 15, or go to Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital when services resume on February 16. Western Health apologizes for this service disruption and thanks the public for their understanding.
