Dr. Susan Gillam, Chief Executive Officer for Western Health is pleased to announce that Dr. Dennis Rashleigh has been appointed to the position of Vice President of Medical Services with Western Health. 

Dr. Rashleigh has worked with Western Health for the past three years in primary care physician roles in both emergency medicine and palliative care at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook and well as the Chief of Discipline, Emergency Medicine. 

“We are extremely pleased to have Dr. Rashleigh take on this leadership role with Western Health”, said Dr. Gillam in making the announcement.  “Dr. Rashleigh has been a tremendous asset to Western Health in his previous roles and will now draw on his experience and expertise to benefit medical leadership in the whole region”. 

Previous to his tenure at Western Health, Dr. Rashleigh worked with Labrador Grenfell Health in Happy Valley Goose Bay as Chief of Staff.

The Vice President of Medical Services is responsible for providing administrative direction and leadership to the organization in the areas of medical/physician services and physician recruitment.   

Dr. Rashleigh assumed his new position in late 2013.
