Western Health Seeking Volunteer Leaders for Improving Health: My Way Workshops
Western Health is currently looking for volunteers to become workshop leaders for the “Improving Health: My Way Program.â€Â This program helps people with chronic health problems such as diabetes, arthritis, asthma, obesity or high blood pressure learn to better manage their conditions.
Training for workshop leaders will be held in Corner Brook from March 19 to 22 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. No previous health care experience is required. The training is free of charge and travel costs will be reimbursed. Volunteers who successfully complete the training will be certified to co-lead “Improving Health: My Way†workshops in their community. A small stipend is provided for leaders who complete community workshops.
