Spiritual Needs

Spiritual Needs
Spirituality is an integral component of healing. It is a source of strength in the presence of distress. It is at the heart of our well-being and enriches all the aspects of our life: physical, mental, emotional, and relational.

Not all persons who come through the doors of our hospitals and long-term care will have religious needs, but all will have, to a varying degree, relative to the diagnostic challenges they face, spiritual needs.

ConnecTo is a spiritual screening tool. It asks the question, “what’s important to you?”, supporting you to identify areas of your life that offer meaning and purpose. It explores the idea of connectedness, exploring an individual’s relationship with themselves, with others, with nature, with creativity, and with something bigger (for some, religion).

Self-Reflection:

·         How is my connection to self?

·         How is my connection with others?

·         How is my connection with creativity?

·         How is my connection with nature?

·         How is my connection with something bigger (including religion/spiritual community)?
