Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear Medicine studies use nuclear energy such as radio-isotopes and radiation detectors for diagnosis and treatment of disease, including SPECT imaging and cardiac studies.
- An appointment is required and will be made through your physician’s office.
- Your preparation instructions are available from your physician’s office or the Medical Imaging Scheduling Office.
- Some tests may require two different appointment times in the same day or appointment times on different days. You will be instructed by the Technologist or by your physician’s office as to the time to return for completion of your examination.
