Visitor Restrictions in Place at Western Memorial Regional Hospital

Aug 26, 2022

Western Health is advising that temporary visitor restrictions have been implemented on medical units 3A and 3B at Western Memorial Regional Hospital due to a Covid-19 outbreak.

To help decrease the spread of COVID-19, visitation will be limited to one consistent support person for patients who require one. A support person is a person who is considered vital to a patient’s physical care and mental well-being. Western Health will work with the families of patients to select a designate and determine whether a support person is required. These restrictions will be reviewed and reassessed on September 1, 2022.

Western Health understands the impact these restrictions may have on families and patients. Individuals may contact our health care team with any questions or concerns they may have regarding the care of their family member. Western Health would like to thank the public for their understanding and co-operation at this time.
