Same Day Surgery

Same Day Surgery  is a program that serves the patient on the day that they are admitted for their elective inpatient surgery.

Location:
2nd Floor, Western Memorial Regional Hospital
Main Floor, Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital

The patient  first comes to Same Day Surgery/Pre-Admission Clinic Unit  where they will be prepared for the Operating Room (OR). Following surgery they will go to Recovery Room and then transferred to an inpatient bed.

A waiting room for family members of patients undergoing surgery is located just outside the OR. Family members can access information about patient's admission/discharge to the Recovery Room by checking with the clerk at the (OR) desk or by calling the Recovery Room:
