Home Support Services

Home support services are available to people who need non-professional help with activities of daily living to remain at home and in their communities. Western Health may help to pay for the cost of home support.

Assessment/Eligibility

A Social Worker or Nurse must visit to complete an assessment. The assessment will identify the strengths and needs of a person and will look at the support available from family and others to meet those needs. Paid home support is meant to help when the support provided by family and others is not enough to meet a person's needs. A person must complete a financial assessment before Western Health can help to pay for home support. A person may be required to pay towards the cost of home support.
