Western Health would like to advise the general public that due to a community wide water outage in the Town of Burgeo and the resulting limited water supply to the Calder Health Centre, all outpatients procedures at the Centre will be cancelled until further notice.

Western Health would like to advise the general public that due to a community wide water outage in the Town of Burgeo and the resulting limited water supply to the Calder Health Centre, all outpatients procedures at the Centre will be cancelled until further notice. Please contact the Health Centre by telephone at (709) 886-2898 (extension 3350) for further information regarding booked appointments.

Further to this, visitor restrictions have been put in place for the full facility. The general public is encouraged to contact the Calder Health Centre before attempting to visit patients or residents.

Plans are in place to ensure sufficient water supplies to meet the personal and medical needs of the acute care patients and long term care residents currently at the Health Centre.

The Emergency Department continues to operate, and persons requiring emergency medical services are advised to contact the Calder Health Centre as per normal practice.

Western Health will continue to update the general public regarding the status of operations at the centre.
