While booking an appointment is encouraged, individuals can walk into any of these clinics to receive their vaccine without an appointment. The frequency of clinics will decrease in September and some locations may be by appointment only. Vaccination appointments will soon be added to the booking system for September.
Western Health is reminding people that second dose appointments that were scheduled when individuals received their first vaccine have been cancelled and that individuals need to either rebook an appointment or attend a walk in vaccine clinic to receive their second dose. Individuals are eligible to receive the second dose 28 days after their first dose.
In the Western region, 81.3% of eligible residents have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 69.2% have had both doses (as of August 15). There are more than 13,500 eligible individuals in the region who have not had their first dose and 7,500 who are eligible for their second dose but have not yet received it or booked an appointment.
