Provincial Government Announces Interim CEO for Western Health
Ms. Michelle House has been appointed the interim Chief Executive Officer of the Western Regional Health Authority. She was most recently the Vice President Clinical - Population Health and Long Term Care.
Ms. House, who has a Master of Social Work degree, brings to the position extensive experience in: public health, human resources, mental health and addictions, health promotion, primary healthcare, community support, and long term care. Western Health’s geographical boundaries are from Port aux Basques southeast to Francois, northwest to Bartlett’s Harbour, and on the eastern boundary north to Jackson’s Arm. Within this geographical region, Western Health serves a population of approximately 77,509 residents.

Biographical Information for Michelle House
Ms. Michelle House has had extensive experience across multiple health care programs and services throughout the past 29 years and has been a senior executive member for 15 years. Her most recent position was Vice-President of Population Health and Long Term Care. Ms. House has a strong reputation for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues, government officials, board members, union representatives, patient/resident advisors and community partners.
