Provincial Government Announces Interim CEO for Western Health

Ms. Michelle House has been appointed the interim Chief Executive Officer of the Western Regional Health Authority. She was most recently the Vice President Clinical - Population Health and Long Term Care.

Ms. House, who has a Master of Social Work degree, brings to the position extensive experience in: public health, human resources, mental health and addictions, health promotion, primary healthcare, community support, and long term care. Western Health’s geographical boundaries are from Port aux Basques southeast to Francois, northwest to Bartlett’s Harbour, and on the eastern boundary north to Jackson’s Arm. Within this geographical region, Western Health serves a population of approximately 77,509 residents.
