Enhanced Visitor Restrictions in Place
Western Health is advising that visitation is limited to one essential visitor/consistent support person for each patient/resident, as deemed by the care team in consultation with the family, at the following locations due to potential COVID exposures, suspected COVID positive patients/residents, or other illness:
- Western Memorial Regional Hospital - Unit 3D (Medicine)
- South Wing, Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre
- Blueberry Crescent, Corner Brook Long Term Care Home
An essential visitor/support person is considered vital to a patient/resident’s physical care and mental well-being. Exceptions will be made for special circumstances, such as end of life care where families are asked to work with the health care team to make arrangements for visitation.
Western Health understands the impact these restrictions may have on families, patients, and residents.
