Enhanced Visitor Restrictions in Place At Western Long Term Care Home
Western Health is advising that temporary visitor restrictions have been implemented on all long term care units at Western Long Term Care Home in Corner Brook due to COVID-19.
Visitation will be limited to one consistent support person for residents who require one. A support person is a person who is considered vital to a resident’s physical care and mental well-being. Western Health will work with the families of residents to select a designate. Exceptions will be made for special circumstances, such as end of life care where families are asked to work with the care team to make arrangements for visitation. These restrictions will be reviewed and reassessed on October 31, 2022.
Western Health understands the impact these restrictions may have on families and residents.
