Mass COVID Vaccination Clinics in May and June
Western Health will be offering mass COVID vaccination clinics from May through June to support individuals who are now eligible for a first or second booster dose. Western Health is encouraging all individuals who are eligible for any COVID vaccine, including first and second dose, to attend a vaccine clinic in their area or receive their vaccine at a participating pharmacy or a physician’s office.
First Booster doses are available for all individuals 12 years and older after a minimum of 22 weeks has passed since they received their second vaccine (on or before November 24, 2021).
Second booster doses are available after a minimum of 20 weeks has passed since an individual received their first booster dose (on or before December 7, 2021). Individuals currently eligible for a second booster dose include:
- Aged 70 years and older;
- Living in a congregate living setting for seniors (i.e., long term care, personal care homes, assisted living facilities); or
- Aged 18 years and older who identify as Indigenous or live in a remote or isolated Indigenous community.
