Financial Assessment
Individuals wishing to avail of home supports and other benefits are subject to a financial assessment.
What does the financial assessment include?
- Income: Money received by the individual/family including earnings, pensions, insurance, employment insurance, interest, rental and investment income, and other sources.
Depending upon a person’s income, a person may be required to pay towards the cost of services. Western Health may provide a subsidy towards the overall cost.
The financial assessment is reviewed on an annual basis.
NOTE: Individuals must avail of all other funding sources (e.g. private health insurance) prior to requesting and receiving funding from Western Health.
