New Vice-President of Patient Services
Cindy Davis, Chief Executive Officer announced a new appointment to senior executive at Western Health today. Ms. Teara Freake has been appointed Vice President of Patient Services.
As previously the Senior Director of New Facility Planning and Director of Patient Services, Medicine, Ms. Freake has demonstrated strong leadership that is patient focused and brings a breadth of knowledge of the health system to this position.
“Teara is a respected leader with an incredible track record of success throughout her various leadership positions and we are delighted to welcome her into this new role,” said Ms. Cindy Davis. “The Vice President of Patient Services position is vital to the provision of safe, quality clinical services at Western Health. Along with members of the senior executive team, Teara will provide leadership and direction to ensure Western Health is successful in achieving the goals set out in its strategic plan.”
The Vice President of Patient Services is responsible for ensuring optimal efficiency and standard of care in acute care including emergency, surgery, operating rooms, women’s and children’s health and critical care in hospitals and clinics within the Corner Brook, Stephenville and Bay St. George areas.
Ms. Freake’s appointment was effective December 22, 2018.
