Visitor Restrictions at Corner Brook Long Term Care Home

Aug 23, 2017

Please be advised that temporary visitor restrictions are in place at Corner Brook Long Term Care Home.

The visitor restrictions are in place due to an influenza like illness on Raspberry Road (1South) and Veterans Affair Canada unit and a gastrointestinal illness on Blueberry Crescent (PCU).

Visitor restrictions are a series of infection control measures put in place to reduce the risk of spreading infectious diseases which are common in health care facilities. They are designed to help keep clients, families, staff and visitors healthy and safe.

Visitors can help reduce the spread of illness by:

•             Cleaning your hands before entering the unit and after visiting your loved ones.

•              Visiting only one resident.

•              Not visiting if you are experiencing flu-like or gastrointestinal symptoms.

Immediate family members of residents should contact the units at 637-3999 Ext. 3992 on Raspberry Road (1South), 637-3999 Ext. 3991 on Veterans Affair Canada unit and 637-3999 Ext. 3993 on Blueberry Crescent (PCU) for further direction about visitation.

Western Health would like to thank the public for their co-operation during this precautionary measure.
