Medical and/or Surgical Locum Ophthalmologist required!-- deadline -- Specific for the period of June 15 to September 30, 2016 and then ongoing, periodic locums.

Located in beautiful Corner Brook, Newfoundland & Labrador, the Western Health Eye Care Centre is a modern well-equipped clinic. Available equipment includes Visual Field, OCT, fundus photography,  Intravenous Fluroscein angiography, Corneal Topograpy, ascan, b-scan, IOL master, minor OR, Yag, SLT and Argon laser.

Duties include scheduled out-patient clinics, Operating Room cases and on-call responsibilities for the Western Health Region.  Generous O.R. time is available. The practice itself is Fee-For-Service and offers an excellent income opportunity with reasonable overhead.  A well trained staff will provide everything you need to run the office efficiently on a day-to-day basis. This includes scheduling, OR bookings, diagnostic testing and daily billing completion/submission to the NL Medical Care Plan. Assistance with travel and accommodation are provided. Interested candidates must be eligible for licensing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certified or eligible, hold malpractice insurance through the Canadian Medical Protective Association and meet the credentialing requirements of Western Health.
