The Western Regional Health Authority currently requires an Obstetrician/Gynecologist Specialist to work on a permanent basis in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador.  The OBGYN Specialist would operate on a fee for service basis, would agree to share the hospital based resources (i.e. operating room time) already assigned to the discipline, and would also take an equitable share of the on call obligation. The OBGYN Specialist will also be responsible for inpatient/outpatient OBGYN services, elective and emergency surgeries, and outreach services.

Western Memorial Regional Hospital is a 217 bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland and provides services to a population base of approximately 78,000 people. We are affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland & Labrador Medical School and we encourage & support academic interests.

Qualifications:

Duly registered Obstetrician/Gynecologist Specialist with The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certified or eligible, and the ability to meet the credentialing requirements of Western Health’s Discipline of Children’s and Women’s Health.

Remuneration:

Fee for Service basis as per the Medical Care Plan (MCP) fee schedule.
