Western Health is seeking the services of a salaried Neurologist in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador. Western Memorial Regional Hospital has a fully developed Stroke Unit, full Rehabilitation Services, Electrodiagnostics and is serviced by 3 CT scanners and 1 MRI scanner. Western Memorial Regional Hospital is a 217 bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland and provides services to a population base of approximately 78,000 people. We are affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador Medical School and we encourage and support academic interests.
Qualifications Required:
Duly registered Neurologist with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL) and the ability to meet the credentialing requirements of Western Health’s Discipline of Medicine. We are seeking candidates with the appropriate sub-specialty training.
Hours of Work: 80 hours biweekly plus on-call obligations.
Remuneration: The Specialist Salary Scale ranges from $212,816.00 to $255,383.00 per annum as outlined in the current Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The Department of Health and Community Services in accordance with Provincial Guidelines will officially determine a Physician’s step assignment with yearly progression thereafter.
An annual Retention Bonus is offered in accordance with the current MOA. Additional benefits are available.
