Western Health is currently seeking the services of a Pediatrician on a full-time, salaried basis effective November 15, 2017 for Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, Newfoundland.This position is one of four salaried Pediatricians providing service to the Corner Brook and surrounding areas.

Western Memorial Regional Hospital is a 217 bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland and provides services to a population base of approximately 78,000 people. We are affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador Medical School and we encourage and support academic interests. 

Qualifications Required: 

Duly registered Pediatrician with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL), Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certified or eligible and meets the credentialing requirements of Western Health’s Division of Pediatrics. 

Hours of Work: 80 hours biweekly plus on-call obligations

Remuneration: The Specialist Salary Scale ranges from $212,816.00 to $255,383.00 as outlined in the current Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The Department of Health and Community Services in accordance with Provincial Guidelines will officially determine a Physician’s step assignment with yearly progression thereafter.

An annual Retention Bonus is offered in accordance with the current MOA. Additional benefits are available.
