Ultrasound (including Echocardiography, Vascular Studies and Small Parts)

Ultrasound uses sound waves that are directed into the body. These sound waves bounce off the internal structures, and are received by a transducer. A computer then forms the sound waves into an image.

• An appointment is required and will be made through your physician’s office.
• You will be provided with a signed requisition from your doctor which is to be brought with you for your appointment.
• Your preparation instructions are available from your physician’s office or the Medical Imaging Scheduling Office.
