Visitor Precautions at Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre
Western Health is advising that there are visitor precautions in place at Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre due to the number of residents on the Tranquility Place unit with influenza like illness.
During these visitor precautions:
• Visitation is limited to one immediate family member
• Children under 14 are not permitted to visit.
Family members of residents are asked to call before attempting to visit. To reach Tranquility Place, please call 646-5800 Ext. 7236.
Western Health wishes to remind the public that visitors can help reduce the spread of infections at all Western Health facilities by:
• Cleaning your hands before entering the unit and after visiting your loved ones.
• Visiting only one resident/patient.
• Not visiting if you are experiencing flu-like or gastrointestinal symptoms.
Western Health would like to ask for the public’s co-operation during these temporary visitor precautions.
