Visitor Restrictions Update at Western Memorial Regional Hospital

Jan 26, 2015

Western Health is advising that visitor restrictions remain in place at Western Memorial Regional Hospital due to the number of patients with gastrointestinal illness and patients with influenza like illness. The following units will be closed to visitors:
• ER Hold Unit
• Women and Children’s Health Unit

Exceptions may be made in extenuating circumstances for immediate family members. Family members of patients are asked to call before attempting to visit:
• To reach the ER Hold Unit, call 637-5000 ext. 6342.
• To reach the Women and Children’s Health Unit, call 637-5000 Ext. 5406.

Visitation is limited to one immediate family member on all remaining units at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. To gain access on these remaining units, please pick up the phone outside the locked door to speak with a staff member. Children under 14 are not permitted to visit.

Western Health would like to ask for the public’s co-operation during these temporary visitor restrictions.
