Visitor Restrictions at Western Memorial Regional Hospital
Western Health is advising that there are visitor restrictions in place at Western Memorial Regional Hospital due to the number of patients with gastrointestinal illness and patients with influenza like illness. The following units will be closed to visitors:
• ER Hold Unit
• Women and Children’s Health Unit
• Medicine Unit (3A & 3B).
Exceptions may be made in extenuating circumstances for immediate family members. Family members of patients are asked to call before attempting to visit:
• To reach the ER Hold Unit, call 637-5000 ext. 6342.
• To reach the Women and Children’s Health Unit, call 637-5000 Ext. 5406.
• To reach the Medicine Unit (3A), call 637-5000 Ext. 5401
• To reach the Medicine Unit (3B), call 637-5000 Ext. 5403
Visitation is limited to one immediate family member on all remaining units at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Children under 14 are not permitted to visit.
Western Health would like to ask for the public’s co-operation during these temporary visitation restrictions.
