Visitor Precautions at Corner Brook Long Term Care Home

Jan 22, 2015

Western Health is advising that there are visitor precautions in place at Corner Brook Long Term Care Home due to the number of residents on Partridgeberry Place (4 North) with influenza like illness. Precautions also remain on the Women and Children’s Health Unit and Medicine units (3A and 3B) at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.

During these visitor precautions:
• Visitation is limited to one immediate family member
• Children under 14 are not permitted to visit.
• Family members of residents are asked to call before attempting to visit. To reach Partridgeberry Place, please call 637-3941.

Western Health wishes to remind the public that visitors can help reduce the spread of infections at all Western Health facilities by:
• Cleaning your hands before entering the unit and after visiting your loved ones.
•  Visiting only one resident/patient.
•  Not visiting if you are experiencing flu-like or gastrointestinal symptoms.

Western Health would like to ask for the public’s co-operation during these temporary visitation precautions.
