Temporary Visitor Precautions at Corner Brook Long Term Care Home

Oct 31, 2014

Please be advised that visitor precautions are in place at Corner Brook Long Term Care Home.  The visitor precautions are in place due to a number of residents on Partridgeberry Place (4 South) with influenza like illness.

Visitor precautions are a series of infection control measures put in place to reduce the risk of spreading infectious diseases which are common in health care facilities this time of year. They are designed to help keep residents, families, staff and visitors healthy and safe.

Visitors can help reduce the spread of illness by:
•             Cleaning your hands before entering the unit and after visiting your loved ones.
•              Visiting only one resident at a time.
•              Not visiting if you are experiencing flu-like or gastrointestinal symptoms.

Immediate family members of residents on Partridgeberry Place (4 South) should contact the home directly at (709) 637-3942 for further direction about visitation. Western Health would like to thank the public for their co-operation during this precautionary measure.
