Western Health would like to advise the public that the visitor restrictions, put in place earlier this week, will now include all units at the Interfaith Home. This action is being taken to prevent further spread of a gastrointestinal illness.

Visitation guidelines have been established for special circumstances including situations involving residents receiving palliative care. In these situations, visitation will be permitted at the discretion of nursing administration and family members are encouraged to call the Manager for Long Term Care at the Interfaith Home at 709-639-9247, extension 245, if they have questions or prior to visiting.

Western Health would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to practice proper hand washing with soap and water. We ask that you please do not to visit the elderly or the ill in any of our health facilities if you have had vomiting or diarrhea until those symptoms have gone away for at least 48 hours.

Western Health appreciates the support of the public and thanks them for their cooperation during this temporary restriction.
