Visitation Restrictions Lifted at Women and Children’s Health Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital - Jun 30, 2011

Please be advised that visitation restrictions have been lifted at the Women and Children's Health Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.  The visitation restrictions were put in place earlier this week due to a number of patients admitted to the unit with stomach flu like illness.

Western Health recommends that anyone experiencing stomach flu like symptoms including vomiting and/or diarrhea refrain from visiting any of our facilities until at least 48 hours after the last symptoms.  To prevent the spread of infectious diseases, we ask the public to wash/sanitize their hands when entering or leaving Western Health's facilities.

Western Health would like to thank the public for their patience and cooperation during the visitation restrictions.
