Western Health wishes to advise the public that there has been an increase in gastrointestinal symptoms by patients and residents at the LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques. Therefore, until further notice, visitor restrictions have been put in place as a precautionary measure. This action is being taken to prevent a further spread of these symptoms.
Western Health wishes to advise the public that there has been an increase in gastrointestinal symptoms by patients and residents at the LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques. Therefore, until further notice, visitor restrictions have been put in place as a precautionary measure. This action is being taken to prevent a further spread of these symptoms.
The restrictions will be reviewed daily. No visitors will be allowed on the acute or long term care units until further notice. All residents are being monitored and movement on the units has been limited.
Visitation guidelines have been established for special circumstances, such as cases involving residents or patients receiving palliative care. In those cases, visitation will be permitted at the discretion of nursing administration only and family members are encouraged to call the Health Centre prior to visiting.
