Please be advised that a visitation restriction is in place at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre. The visitation restriction is in place due to an outbreak of influenza-like illness in the facility.
Western Health would like to ask for the public’s co-operation during this temporary visitation restriction.
As well, exceptions for visitation may be made on a case-by-case basis for immediate family members of the terminally ill. Please contact the home directly for instructions on how to proceed.
People who have flu like symptoms are asked to refrain from visiting the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre or any of Western Health’s facilities. Individuals with any of these symptoms should rest at home, drink fluids, practice proper hand washing with warm water and soap, and if the symptoms persist contact their physician.
To prevent the spread of infection in any institution in the Western Health region, we ask the public to wash/sanitize your hands when you enter or leave any of Western Health's facilities.
Western Health would like to thank you for your cooperation in helping prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
