This week, April 18 - April 24 has been designated National Medical Laboratory Week, an annual celebration of the medical laboratory professionals and pathologists who play a vital role in every aspect of health care. Every day, in labs across the country, medical laboratory professionals make a difference in people’s lives.
National Medical Laboratory Week promotes public awareness, understanding and appreciation for medical laboratory professionals. It is an opportunity to recognize the efforts of laboratory professionals who often work behind the scenes with few people knowing much about the critical testing they perform every day.
Laboratory professionals within Western Health are a dedicated team who are very proud of the work they do. They are committed to providing a quality service for clinicians and patients in hospitals and the community within the Western Region.
