Parents of children between the ages of 3 years and 9 years who have a chronic condition (such as asthma) and require a second H1N1 vaccination should have their appointments booked for the second dose.  If you have not already called for this appointment, parents are asked to contact their local community health office as soon as possible.

Pregnant women who have not yet received their vaccine are asked to contact their local community health office.

As part of the H1N1 immunization registration process, persons are required to have their MCP Card with them at the time of registration.  People are asked to wear short sleeves or easy roll up sleeves.

Western Health would also like to notify the public that the toll free line (1-877-632-H1N1 (4161)) that was activated for questions or concerns during the second wave of the pandemic will be discontinued as of Friday, December 11th, 2009 at 4 pm.  After that time, individuals with questions are asked to call their local community health office.
