Western Health provides a practical aspect to the medical education of future health practitioners in the province. Western Memorial Regional Hospital is affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland Faculty of Medicine. We have a regular schedule of rotating medical students, interns and residents completing electives in all disciplines including family practice, obstetrics, orthopedics, pediatrics and surgery. We also have clinical placements for dietitian and pharmacy interns, and physiotherapy and occupational therapy interns. We also have clinical placements for practical nursing and bachelor of nursing students.
